For the first 15 years of my career I worked in the hotel business and the last 11 years I have been selling to hotels. While working for a hotel company, I taught myself Visual Basic (for DOS!) in order to write an employee speakout program. It was a complex program for a first try, but I was hooked. I started my own website design company in 2000 using primarily html and Microsoft Frontpage. A few months ago I decided to go back to school to get some coding education and I have loved almost every minute of it. Now I want to use my extensive background in sales and marketing with my new found knowledge of full stack development to create exciting apps that help people become more productive.
Hospitality Partners - I worked in almost every position in a hotel - front desk, reservations, catering, sales, and general manager. I spent over five years as the corporate director of sales and marketing for the company and oversaw a revenue budget of $80 million for 15 hotels in the DC area.
Milestone Internet Marketing - Helping hotels develop their websites, I aslo helped them with their analytics, paid marketing campaigns and general internet marketing education.
Signature Worldwide - Increasing sales by changing employee behaviors. I helped several hundred hotels increase sales by improving the performance of their employees. Most recently I designed a sales training program called Stand Apart Sales that has been remarkably well received. See the website I created for the class here. Stand Apart Sales
